without his blood

Without His blood, I have no reason for being;
I have no reason to go on, to smile, to sing.

I have no future, no past, I am nothing at all;
It wouldn't matter if I walk, or if I fall.

No future, nothing to look forward to;
It wouldn't matter what I say; what I do.

Aaaawwww, but thank God for the blood of Jesus Christ;
That gives me this victory; that gives me my rights!

My rights to walk boldly into His presence, and call His name;
And know not the fear of rejection, sin, guilt or shame!

What a power in that fluid He spilled;
That day on Calvary's steep hill.

What a power was invested by the Father,
as He sent forth His only begotten Son;
That we all my be healed, be forgiven
and that our battle have all BEEN won!

It's a love story that defies logic; goes beyond all carnal reason;
He's the ultimate sacrifice that knows not boundaries or season.

Every day is the day that He has made for us to live for Him;
Every hour is the best one to shine out light in a world so dim.

He gave His blood, for our mere clump of potter's clay;
That we may go free, that we may teach others the way.

Walk on for Jesus and don't turn to the world for a thing;
You are the image of the Most High, the Child of a King.
