JOYFULLY YOURS

 

Is there yet a light at the end of your tunnel,
Or has life itself sucked you up in it's wicked funnel?
The joy you once could scarce contain;
Is it back, is it still there, all the same?

The courage of your heart, the faith of your soul;
The promises of God, all written for you in gold;
Where are they today, where have they gone?
They were each given to you to make you strong.

Here in your hour of weakness and defeat;
Jesus still stands, open arms, all your needs to meet.
He's never left your side, and He will not leave today;
He's your one true, ever-present help, in every way.

Closer than a brother, stronger than a friend;
The Alpha, the Omega, the beginning and the end.
Do not turn Him away, as you are there, in trials and tests;
For you, remember....God sent His own, He sent His BEST.

His own Son to die for your sins, and afflictions, your pains;
But it's out of reach, unless you strive for it, in Jesus' name.
All so freely given, joy, peace and love;
Take them....He's offering it all to you from above.

His gentle hands reach to you,
during your hours of anguish and defeat;
He calls your name and promises every need
He will acknowledge and meet.
The hurt of your heart, He knows it best;
He is bigger than fear, torment and stress.

Stand up, let it all fall from your lap and you will know;
There is SOMEONE....SOMEONE Who loves you so!
Walk to His throne, declare your victory and joy;
It's yours, He gave it, and it cannot be destroyed!
