no time to pray
You say you want to go to Heaven one day;
Yet you have no time to stop and pray.
No time to spend in solitude, alone with the Lord;
Can your life REALLY be THAT hard??
When's the last time your knelt and prayed;
What then, even, did you happen to say?
Was is strained words that you had to struggle to speak;
To ask Him for strength because you have become so weak?
He's the One that lifts your burdens, and knows you so well;
Is a little time really worth an eternity spent in a living Hell??
Where do the hours go, how do you spend the day and night?
How can you sleep, knowing your soul is just not al right?
What's a little sleep compared to Heaven's offer so rare;
Living eternally without a worry or even a care?
He sent His own Son, through death, Hell and the grave;
Yet you profess Christ, and no one can tell you are saved.
Not on a bended knee all day; yet you run here and go there;
Somehow on Judgment day, I wonder if you'll cry, “Not fair!”
The laughter, the fun, the music and jokes are all empty things;
Only your salvation will give you the peace Jesus brings.
No thought of God, even though you are breathing His air;
No consideration for the One that has always been there.
He patiently stands, with a tear rolling down His cheek;
“If only I had heard from My child this week.”
My friend, before it is eternally too late, stop and pray.
Who but He knows that today could be your last day.
