all in all
In the storm, in the sands of the sea;
In the workings of just ol’ mortal me;
All in all, it is God!
Through winter, summer, fall and spring;
In every living, breathing thing;
All in all, it is God!
The sorrow, the grief,
The song of sweet relief;
All in all, it is God!
The rough spots, the growing pains;
The sunshine, even the rains;
All in all, it is God!
The will to try again, the zeal to go on;
The rocks in the road, the ending of the day long;
All in all, it is God!
My joy, my very being;
My hearing, my seeing;
All in all, it is God!
The assurance of know I am blessed;
The sweet feel of a child’s caress;
All in all, it is God!
The beginnings, the endings; everything in the middle;
There is no question, it is not a foolish riddle…
All in all, it is God!
